PTSD 101: A Course MCLE
This session will provide an in-depth discussion of the evaluation methods necessary to prove or rebut posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which has seemingly increased in recent years. This session will discuss (a) reporting requirements to correctly diagnose a Posttraumatic Stress Disorder; (b) detail how to challenge psych reports and the conclusions of a psych doctor who provides an unsupported PTSD diagnosis; (c) provide attorneys an understanding of the practical impact of PTSD diagnoses and appropriate treatment modalities; and (d) provide context and recommended strategy on what to do to challenge the medical opinions when it is detected that PTSD is incorrectly diagnosed.
